Welcome to The Unfiltered Scottish Dog Blog.
This is a blog about dogs. Real dogs. The brilliant ones, the chaotic ones, the ones that learn something new in five minutes and the ones that somehow forget their own name when another dog appears in the distance.
If you’re looking for polished perfection and Instagram-ready training miracles… you might be in the wrong place.
This blog is about the real side of dog training and life with dogs. The muddy walks, the training wins that feel like winning the lottery, the moments where your dog makes you look like you’ve never trained anything in your life, and the lessons dogs teach us along the way.
Somewhere in Scotland there is a dog trainer, dog enthusiast, and general dog obsessive writing these posts. For now, they’re staying anonymous. Mostly because the dog world is small… and guessing is half the fun.
Here you’ll find honest conversations about training, behaviour, high-drive dogs, mistakes we make, things that actually work, and the weird and wonderful lives we share with our dogs.
No fluff. No training fads. Just dogs.
And probably a bit of Scottish sarcasm along the way.
Disclaimer: The author of this blog may occasionally have mud on their boots, dog hair on everything they own, and at least one dog judging their life choices at all times.
The opinions expressed here are based on real experiences, real dogs, and the occasional training session that went completely off the rails.
No dogs were forced to write these posts, although several have attempted to walk across the keyboard.
If you think you recognise the anonymous author… you’re probably wrong.
Or you might be right.
Either way, the dogs definitely know the truth.
